The place where I want to invite you is steeped in history and
mysticism, every inch resonating with events of historical importance.
The country was under the control of the Dutch and Japan, then became
independent only in 1945. Throughout this time, Bali preserved the
treasures of her ancient traditions. The island was the last stronghold
of the king in the village of Ubud, and this place was considered
sacred.
Since the painter Walter Spies (who was formative in what
later became known as the 'Bali style') came to Ubud in the 1920s, Ubud
has been a mecca for local and foreign artists, who are attracted here
by the exotic landscapes and by the unusual peace and quiet of the
place.
Ubud - this is for sophisticated relaxation. Small cozy
boutique hotels, cool fresh air, breathtaking views of paddy terraces
crossed by small rivers. In this poetically sublime atmosphere, at once
soothing and conducive to philosophical arguments, you'll immediately
understand what attracts so many visitors. In the center of the city's
beau monde atmosphere - this is where you will find the works of artists
inspired by the beauty of Bali.
Many stores have industrial
workshops and you can take part in various traditional crafts such as
wood and bone carving; jewelry-making with silver and gold; glassmakers
displaying their skill; batik and painting classes; the opportunities
are countless.
In addition, there is plenty of opportunity for
outdoor activities such as the water park "Waterbom". The park is
located in the lush garden area of Kuta. Sports equipment and
waterslides meet international standards, and the water is purified with
sea salt.
Or consider the Jeep safari (8 hours). If you want a
real adventure, join a jeep or motorbike safari (Quad) accompanied by
experienced instructors. Admire the views of the tropical forest, rice
terraces and mountain villages.
There are so many things to see
and do in Bali, including river rafting, trekking, bike touring, the
famous Monkey Forest, Bali Bird Park, Elephant Safari Park, herbal
tours, yoga, spiritual holistic healing, massages, gym, A.A., climbing
Mt. Batur, visiting the highest volcano in Bali (Mt. Agung), Balinese
dance and cooking, ancient temples, palaces, museums and traditional
markets. Take advantage of this opportunity.
