Ratna Villa

Ratna Villa is a privately owned villa retreat, located in the village of Penestanan, just 5 minutes from central Ubud, and a scenic 80 minute drive from the airport in Denpasar. This fresh new place is a gem to find in Ubud. It is a gorgeous relaxing space and you will feel totally at home as soon as you arrive.

For recreation, culture and dining, Ratna Villa is situated in ideal surroundings. Penestanan’s main road is a leisurely 5 minute stroll away, and boasts fabulous restaurants, cafes including Alchemy, Ubud's No 1 raw food bar, and Kue regarded as one of Ubud’s best bakeries. Intuitive Flow Yoga studio is a 5 minute walk, and many health & beauty spas all in walking distance. The centre of Ubud is only 5 minutes away by car, where some of the best restaurants, shops and health spas in Bali are located. The famous Blanco Museum and other cultural attractions are also nearby.

When you arrive you will be met by me (Ratna). I will be your main point of contact and organise anything you might need. I can promise you a stress-free holiday.

There is also a delightful gazebo on the grounds, for you to relax in shaded comfort. We have installed a mosquito net in the gazebo, where you can even sleep through the night, if you like! We decided that it's better than an extra bed in the open area.

The bedrooms are very secure, and the living area is open to the swimming pool, with brand-new western furnishings, overlooking sweeping views of rice fields, situated in the heart of Balinese nature. The grounds are professionally landscaped. You do not need a car or bike to get to most places around town if you like to walk. The centre of Ubud is only 15-20 minutes walk from the villa.

The villa is located in the south of Penestanan, a traditional and pretty village of artists and bead-workers on the western side of Ubud- just a 5 min. ride to the center. The Villa lies at the end of a small side-road (inaccessible by car), so no traffic noises will reach you. You will enjoy peace and quiet. If you value beauty and serenity, you will find them here.

You will be very well taken care of. We offer a healthy organic breakfast, "The Best Breakfast in Bali" served for an additional 80,000 IDR ($6 US) per day for 2 people.There is a part time housekeeper at the villa to look after you during your stay. In addition, I live only 5 minutes away, in the same village, from the villa. I can make suggestions on things to do and see. I can arrange car transport/rental, motorbike rental, sightseeing, massages, bicycle rental, whatever you like. If you would like to have a car with driver this costs about 45 USD for a whole day. We are also delighted to offer car transfers to and from the airport for a fee (price is 300, 000 IDR in the day, 350,000 IDR at night). Please request this service beforehand, so that I may reserve it for you.

There are so many things to see and do in Bali, including river rafting, trekking, bike touring, the famous Monkey Forest, Bali Bird Park, Elephant Safari Park, herbal tours, yoga, spiritual holistic healing, massages, gym, A.A., climbing Mt. Batur, visiting the highest volcano in Bali (Mt. Agung) Batik and Painting classes, Balinese dance and cooking, ancient temples, palaces, museums and traditional markets.
